Obituary of Mary E. Doughty

Mary E. Doughty, 99, of Syracuse, passed away on August 22, 2018. A lifelong resident of Tipperary Hill, Mary loved SU basketball, harness racing, fishing at the family camp in Port Ontario, and bingo.

Mary was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.  Mary is predeceased by her husband, Edward Doughty, brother; William (Cowboy) O’Hern; daughter, Carol Doughty; and parents, William and Elizabeth O’Hern (Fahey). She is survived by her children, Elizabeth “Bunny” (Patrick) Ward and William Doughty; son-in-law, James Cahl, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

A memorial mass will be held at 10am on August 27, 2018 at St. Patrick- St. Brigid’s Church, Tipp Hill.  Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a hospice of one’s choice.
