Obituary of Mary P. O'Donnell

Mary P. O'Donnell, 85, of Syracuse passed away peacefully at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center on Friday September 11th. She was born on March 25, 1930 to the late Howard and Mary (Synnott) Armstrong in Auburn, NY. Mary was a member of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Brigid & St. Joseph Church in Syracuse and volunteered at St. Camillus for over 20 years. She worked as a clerk in the County Clerk's Office and at Dey Brothers Department Store. Mary loved baseball, golfing, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband John (Jack) O'Donnell in 1992. Surviving are her three sons, James, Robert and John, her daughter, Mary (Anthony) Esposito, three grandchildren Anthony (Jenny) of Albany, NY, John, and Kevin Esposito and several nieces and nephews. Her first great grandson is due in November. Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 on Thursday September 17th at Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home on 3180 Bellevue Ave. in Syracuse. Funeral service will be at St. Brigid & St. Joseph Church at 318 Herkimer St. on Friday September 18th at 10:00 AM followed by a graveside service at St. Mary's Cemetery in Dewitt. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary's name may be made to the Food Pantry at St. Brigid & St. Joseph Church, 318 Herkimer Street, Syracuse, NY 13204.
