My condolences to the Grooms family & their loved ones. As a neighbor they were a big part of what made Strathmore such a good neighborhood to grow up in. Dear Tom and Family, Please accept my most sincere condolences for the passing of my cousin Maureen. Your's and the Family's unwavering love and care allowed Maureen the grace and dignity she most deserved during a lengthy and difficult time. As kids hanging out at grandma Reschke's I remember she was always thoughtful, caring, happy and fun loving. She stood out as quite bright also. Her life exemplified those qualities in her family and professional life. Whenever I'd return to Syracuse and saw her at a Reschke family gathering she would always greet you with her wonderful smile and sincerely care about you and what you were doing. Always concern and care for others must have been God's plan for this remarkable person. Rest in Peace Maureen Johnnie

I worked with Maureen years ago at the Poison Control Center. She took her work very seriously, was very compassionate and caring. She was also fun to work with. I remember running into her after mass one day many years ago and she told me she had Alzheimer's. I never would have known. My mother and sister had/have this disease. My heartfelt condolences to her husband, Tom and all the children and grandchildren. She was a special human being.
