To Jay and Donna and family, please accept my deepest condolences. I'll always remember him whistling in his driveway (my room was right over it) and letting me help myself to the tomatoes in his garden. My very best to you all.
You will be missed, Uncle Joe.

With sincere sympathy I send this note of remembrance for a life well lived and greatly missed.
Uncle Joe was a true renaissance man. One of a kind with so many interesting experiences. He had a sharp wit and wry sense of humor and everyone gravitated to him. If you were his friend, it was for life. We enjoyed many delicious meals (he was an accomplished chef and made the best meatball soup) and great conversations together. I have fond memories of rides in “the boat” or in his latest Thunderbird. Uncle Joe always made me feel I was the most important person in the room no matter how he felt. I feel privileged to have know him and will always remember the wonderful memories I have of him.
Words are never adequate in times like these. My heart goes out to Jay, Donna and families during this terribly sad time.

Will always remember when Mr. Fiumano offered to make calamari in red sauce for our Roxboro 6th grade class so we could experience a special culinary delight new to most of our class... all for 25 cents each. Delicious and still one of my favorites!

I had Mr. Fiumano in 5 th grade at Roxboro. What an excellent teacher. I learned so much from him. I would see Mr. Fiumano walk into Williams Grocery Store and wave. So sad to read about his passing. RIP!!

Joe Fiumano was my 6th grade social studies teacher at Rox Middle. Social studies was my least favorite subject back then, and he went tougher on the gifted students than the regular ones, but I know he was tough on me because he expected only the best from those who could handle it. He never lost his temper at a student, and always had a cheery disposition. I sorely underestimated what a great teacher he was, and how much he truly enjoyed teaching. Travel well, friend.

Uncle Joe was a role model for me. He influenced me in sports -He played baseball for LeMoyne gave me a baseball glove and taught me a few tricks with a baseball bat as he held the batting crown at the college. He also served to turn me into a "car guy" as he always had unique and interesting vehicles. He had many interests as his obit describes and sponsored several cruises that his parents and Nancy and I participated on.
We will miss him greatly. Our prayers are with you Jay and Donna and your families in this time of sadness.
