Obituary of Donald "Jack" White

Donald "Jack "White passed away on January 04, 2014 at his home. He was born August 18, 1928, in Concord, New Hampshire to Donald J. White and Katherine Faucher. Jack was a retired veteran of the US Air Force and an active member of St. Ann's Church, where he was a lecturer. After his retirement from Royal Insurance he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and volunteering at Community General and St Camillus. He also enjoyed spending time with his thirteen grandchildren. Jack was predeceased by his spouse and love of his life of 59 years, Patricia E White (12/10/2013). He is survived by sons and their spouses, David and Susan, Peter and Amal, Paul and Donna, Mark and Lisa, John and Kathleen; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Mike Simms; and grandchildren, Kayla White, Pete, Erica, Lauren and Alexis White, Ashley and Paul White, Aidan and Jillian White, Jack, Benjamin and Allison White, and Melissa Simms all from the Syracuse and Brewerton areas. Services will be on Thursday, January 09, 2014 at 10:00am at St. Ann's Church, Taunton. Calling hours will be Wednesday, 4 to 6 pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Taunton Fire Department, 4300 Onondaga Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13219.
