Obituary of Kathleen "Kate" O'Connor

Kathleen "Kate" O'Connor, 97, passed away peacefully Tuesday at James Square Nursing Home. She was a lifelong resident of Syracuse. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis O'Connor; her son, Thomas O'Connor and her brother, John Davidson. She is survived by her five children, Kathleen (Gary) Rice, Barbara (Gary) Albro, Robert O'Connor, Donald O'Connor and Joyce (Ray) Muldoon; Kate is also survived by nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 216 Lowell Ave. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Donations may be made in her honor to the Humane Society of CNY, 4915 W. Taft Rd., Liverpool, NY 13088. We would like to thank the staff at James Square for providing her care for the past five years.
