shocked to read of Pat's passing in Sunday's paper. To Carol and to the

looking for someone to aim them at. He helped so many people and
touched so many lives. Since it's almost impossible for me to
comprehend his absence, I can not begin to image what you are going

that surrounds you and in the Fellowship of Spirit that enfolds you and

Dear Carol, PJ, Heather, Bridget, Kerry, and all the Aherns
My heartfelt sympathy and fervent prayers for God's consolation on your loss of Pat. I and so many others are grieving with you today. I will always give thanks to the Lord for the gift of Pat in my life and that of my family's.
With his gentleness, wisdom, and warmth, like The Good Shepherd, he led so many to healing and serenity. I will think of Paddy and how he elevated the celebration of our shared Irish heritage and be grateful for the ways he brought joy, learning and dignity to it through things like the promotion of the Irish Cultural Institute and playing of traditional musical instruments like the tin whistle, to name just a few. He was truly a man after God's own Heart. . He walked the way he talked, Turned his will and his life to the care of God, Trusted, and strove to serve God in all things, He made each one he spoke to feel like a special friend. Through his wit and gratitude he brought laughter and a happy heart to those who forgot. We will never forget him. Thank you for sharing him with us. We are your family too.
Much love

The stories u could only tell with laughter that brought tears to one's eyes. The day Jimmy Boynton picked u up to go deer hunting and your wearing loafers and chinos; carp fishing with the Boynton brothers Richey {God rest his soul} and Jimmy on Onondaga lake...the 20 years; working the Syr. A part of my soul is now in heaven. As with others, Pat meant so much to me as I began my recovery journey. I never met another man who could find the best in people no matter their lot or circumstance. It was a distinct honor and a pleasure to have him in my life, not only in recovery, but also with the Open House and then as a kind and friendly neighbor on my block. Now was the time of year when we would start to see each other on the block to share a few moments on life in general, but for me it was just to see his smiling face, enjoying life as he so often did, that filled me with gratitude for life’s blessings that he exemplified. I will miss him deeply, but will keep his spirit close to my heart. My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to his family. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
