We are all so sad to hear of Rose's passing. She was a good and decent person who was fun and full of life - and always ready to speak her mind. While we mourn our loss, hers was a life we should celebrate. She was always rightfully proud of her family and brothers and sisters. My Mom, Rosemary Baratta, adored her cousin and enjoyed their time together catching up and telling stories about growing up. There was always a lot of laughter. Tom-- I remember how excited our moms were when we would be at the same college together. It seems like yesterday. My condolences to the Hayes and Goodnough families.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My Mother is Rhea DeBottis Distin-Williams. Roseanne was my Mothers best friend from childhood. Even though she lives in California, they kept a very close bond. Even after so many years of living apart. Roseanne was always in my Mothers stories and the love of friendship they had was never replaced by anyone else. Rose was also my Godmother. Although I haven't seen her since we moved out west in 1966, I remember the kindness she gave. I'm writing this for my Mom, since she hasn't a computer. I just want all of her family and friends back there know how much sadness my Mom feels for all of you. Michael, I think was the person who called my Mom. On the 31st of July, very early in the AM, my Mom was pacing her home for hours and became very depressed. She now knows why. Thank You so much for calling her and letting her know. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Colleen Distin

Diane, Mike, and Tom, Your mom was an amazing woman, so full of life! I enjoyed her sense of humor and grace, and I loved having her as a neighbor almost my entire life! She was my "other mother" when we were little, and I still remember "running away" to your house, and also watching the "Wizard of Oz" for the first time in color on your grandfather's TV. I will be praying for your family, as I know this is going to be tough. Your mom will be missed! All our love to your family from Joe and me!
