Obituary of Karen Barbara Knauerhase

Karen Barbara Knauerhase, 56, of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday, April 23rd. She was the youngest child of the late Lt. Col. Carl and Barbara (Coughlin) Knauerhase. Karen was born in Frankfurt, Germany and raised in Canton, NY. She graduated from Liverpool High School in 1976 and William Smith College in 1984. She formerly worked as a technician for several environmental laboratory firms. Karen loved gardening, cooking and her cats. Surviving to cherish her memory are her sisters, Anne of Brooklyn, Christine (Jeffrey) Wells of Richmond, VA, Susan (Lawrence) Riley, of Liverpool, Kirsti "Kathy" (Steven) Zaluski of Adams Center, and Linda (Michael) Tersegno of Auburn; and brother, Peter (Karen M.) of Cortland; 10 nieces and nephews. Services will be private.
