Obituary of John Charles "Jack" Conway

John Charles "Jack" Conway, of Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2015. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. The son of Robert and Mary Conway, Jack was born on April 6, 1926 in Collingdale, PA. He graduated from West Catholic High School and attended Penn State College before serving in the army in the South Pacific during WWII. He worked at Eastern Airlines for 33 years until his retirement in 1983. During retirement, Jack volunteered at St. Camillus. Jack is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy Conway (Bush); daughters, Kathy Patterson (Mark), Cindy Conway; son, Ken Conway (Lena) all of Colorado, and grandchildren, Sarah, Dan, Alyssa, Nate and Brock. Services will be Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 9:30am at St. Patrick's Church, Syracuse. Family will receive friends and relatives from 8:30 to 9:30am prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to St. Patrick's Heritage Fund; 216 N. Lowell Ave, Syracuse, NY 13204.
