Obituary of Michael Tearney Sheridan

Michael Tearney Sheridan, 64 years of age, beloved brother, proud uncle and devoted friend, passed away on July 28th after a short illness in Jacksonville, Florida. Mike was born in Syracuse, NY to John and Ione (Tearney) Sheridan. Mike was a "Valley Boy" who attended Our Lady of Lourdes elementary school and graduated from Corcoran High School. Mike worked for several years for Royal Pools. In recent years, while living in Florida, he worked part time as a commercial truck driver and appreciated the game of golf. While living in the south, he maintained his enthusiasm for SU sports and was known as "New York Mike" to his friends in Jacksonville. Mike was happiest surrounded by friends and family, sharing long conversations and exchanging good jokes! He is survived by his three siblings; Anthony J. Sheridan of Framingham, MA; Joseph P. Sheridan of Buffalo, NY and Mary Pat Bellia (Sam Bellia) of Grand Island, NY. He is also survived by his niece and God daughter, Leora Bellia and nephew Jack Bellia. A "Celebration of Life" party will be held in Syracuse at the Valley American Legion, 110 Academy St. on Saturday, October 15th at 6pm. All who knew Mike are welcome!
