John & Anne regretfully announce the passing of their parents Nick, October 28, 2016, and Margie on May 16, 2017. Nick was predeceased by his parents Frank & Mary, and his brother Tony. Nick graduated from North High School and Syracuse University. Nick was a Lifetime Member of the 174th NYANG Alumni Association after achieving rank of Staff Sargent in the 138th and later the 107th NYANG. Nick retired from General Electric, as an Electrical Engineer. Margie, who was out on Maternity Leave from her Executive Secretarial Job at General Electric, was predeceased by her parents John & Isabelle O'Brien. Margie graduated from St. Anthony de Padua High School and CCBI. Margie and Anne were the Family Genealogists. Both Nick and Margie were very active in their communities including the development and construction of the ARC Building on Wilbur Ave in Syracuse, and Elfun, Civitan & Special Olympics in Pittsfield. Both enjoyed Bowling, Volunteering locally and around the USA with Civitan & Special Olympics, Sailing and Fishing on Oneida Lake, and supporting John & Anne in their endeavors. Joint Funeral Services will be held at St. Ann's Church in Syracuse under the direction of Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 10:00am. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in DeWitt. Please omit flowers. Any contributions can be made to help offset Medical and Final Expenses endured over the last 2 1/2 years to the family.
