Obituary of Robert LaMont

Robert LaMont, 87, of Tully passed away peacefully on Monday, May 7, 2018.  Bob was a retired sheet metal worker from Carrier Corp. and was a member of the Orchard Vali Golf Club and the American Legion.  He was an Army Veteran and received the Army Perfect Conduct Award.  Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.  He had a passion for golf and was especially proud of his hole in one.  He was a kind, gentle and generous man who will be missed.

Bob is predeceased by his wife, Mary Jane (Czarnecki) LaMont.  He is survived by his children: Victoria (Robert) Walker, Michael (Rena) LaMont, Wendy (Timothy) Spiddle, Lori Wilcox, Karen (Kevin) Skeele, and Robert LaMont, Jr.; 10 grandchildren: Stephanie, Christopher, and Lily Walker, Nicolas and Allyson LaMont, Charlotte and Bridget Spiddle, Chelsey Gardner, and Alexander and Ian Skeele; siblings: Marilyn Van Bramer, Patricia Rogers, Allen LaMont and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held 1 to 4 pm on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave., Syracuse.  A memorial service will be held immediately after at 4 pm at the funeral home. A committal service will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Onondaga County Veteran’s Cemetery, Howlett Hill.
