To Mary,Richard, Susan,Grace, the six Grandchildren, and five Great Grandchildren: My sincere condolences to you all for the loss of your Husband, Father, Brother, and Grandfather. I was a work friend with Dick at the GPO in the 50's and 60's. We were in different crafts, but worked closely together for the purpose of getting the mail up and out for delivery the next day. We worked the graveyard shift for untold years, and finally the day shift in Parcel Post. I remember Dick as a dedicated, self motivated worker who really cared and loved his job. Dick was a mentor to many co-workers because of his work ethics. Although we did not golf together, [my loss] I consider him as one of my best friends. I miss him too!
