Obituary of Maurice "Dick" Johns

Maurice Richard Johns, 91, of Syracuse, NY and Palm City, FL passed away peacefully on Monday, October 15, 2018.  Dick was a WWII Navy Veteran and worked at New York Telephone Company.  He was a member of the American Legion #1468 and CWA 1123. 

 

Dick was predeceased by his 1st wife, Patricia Hoerth Johns, his 2nd wife, Patricia Hamilton Reilly Johns, his beloved brothers, Robert and Ronald Johns, and loving sister, Geraldine Farrell.

 

He is survived by his children, Richard (Linda), Brad, Glenn (Rosalia Modesto), Pamela Johns Wayne, and Jacqueline Johns, 12 granchildren, 7  great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.

 

Calling hours were held from 4 to 7pm on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. 

 

Friends may gather on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 9 to 10am at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. A family led service will be held at 10am at the funeral home.  Burial with military honors will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
