Skeeter and I send our prayers and thoughts from Nevada. We wish we could be there with you to share a life well lived. Jim, in many ways, was larger than life. Skeeter reminisced about his reaching out and helping so many people during his years with the phone company. We thought we were saying our goodbyes a few years past. God had other plans for him and so we enjoyed his company long after his farewell party. We expect he's making new friends and connecting up with those who were waiting for him. "Jim Snell, here," that familiar greeting of his. He will be missed and loved by those he's left behind. Our sincere condolences.

So sad to hear he left us. I worked for New York Telephone Co and there I met Jim and many of his friends. As a switchman , I ran in orders while being visited by several installers. We enjoyed many times playing golf on the Telephone league and leisure times after at the Park West Restaurant. I went on several trips to Montreal Que. Canada. Also known as "Snell's Tours" I'm sure he left a lot of happy memories for us the ponder. God bless, I will miss him.

To Jim's family,, I'm so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I enjoyed his company , his friendship,everything about him. The evening's at Park West on Thursday night's were the highlight of the week all those days ago,,Because of Jim! He was such a Great guy, I will think of him often with a smile on my face, because of him. A special man he was.
I am in Florida for the winter,,,am so sorry I can't pay my respects in person. God Bless Jim and the family,,,he will be missed.

Barbara, I’m so sorry to hear about Jim’s passing. He truly was one of a kind. I first met Jim back before I had my license in the early 70’s.
