Obituary of Teresa Q. Slater

Teresa Quigley Slater, of Syracuse died Monday, January 11, 2016. Teresa was born in Syracuse, raised on Tipp Hill, and was a longtime resident of the St. Agnes Hill and Strathmore areas. She was retired from NY Telephone Co. and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Teresa was predeceased by her husband Jerome P. Slater, her parents, John and Margaret Quigley, 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Surviving are her son, Jerome P. "Murph" Slater, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and her extended family, the Spelmans. Services will be held Wednesday, January 20th at 12:30 pm at Holy Family Church. Private burial will be held in the spring. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
