Laurie was the office manager at the union labor law firm, Angoff, Goldman, Manning, Pyle & Wanger in Boston when we met just before I was hired as a new lawyer in 1977. She became a special friend immediately, and helped me generously. All the clients adored her, and she ran the law firm operations like a pro, making sure everything got done the right way for everyone. A real star and diva. Full of laughs, keeper of secrets and stories.
She remained my close friend throughout her life, and helped me through important times like new houses, boyfriends and marriages, several job changes. We shared hundreds of phone calls and visits over the years at our homes or “out,” and she meant the world to me. I can’t believe she’s gone, but I will remember her the rest of my days. I was lucky to have her in my life.
