Obituary of Mary E. Fiaccone

Mary Elizabeth Roche Fiaccone 85, of Camillus and Amber Beach passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter Nancy on Saturday June 29,2019. Born January 26, 1934 in Syracuse, NY she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mary B. (Nash) Roche. Mary grew up on Tipp Hill and graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in 1952. On September 13, 1952 at the young age of 18, she married the love of her life, Anthony R. (Ang) Fiaccone in St. Patrick’s Church. They enjoyed 55 years of marriage together before his passing in 2008.

During her career, Mary was employed at Syracuse China, Carrier Corporation and worked as a Real Estate Agent for The Blouin and Ruth S. Nichols Real Estate Agencies.  She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church.

Mary loved to cook and was known for both her Chocolate Chip and Italian Cookies as well as, huge holiday meals. Marrying a fine Italian lad resulted in her becoming an excellent Italian cook.   If she wanted you to eat something it was best to just say yes.  She also enjoyed photography and would thoroughly record all of her family and friends’ special events. Providing everyone with an album of all the pictures for them to enjoy.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Anthony, daughter Deborah Anne, parents Thomas and Mary Roche, brothers William J. Roche and Thomas E. Roche and Sister- In- Law Lena M. Fiaccone

Mary is survived by her daughters Nancy M. Fiaccone and Karen A. (Gerald) Boyle both of Marietta. Her granddaughters Kerry Elizabeth Boyle of Syracuse and Dr. Kristine Marie Boyle of Mobile, Alabama

Calling hours will be at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave., Syracuse on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church.  Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
