A special thanks and appreciation to Mark and Jeanine for including me at their. Heist as Brunch table last Christmas morning. What a pleasure as a new Resident to Syracuse to not be alone on Christmas. To join the table as an invited guest on one of the most wonderful days of the year....I remain forever grateful. To share the table with Mark and Jeanine, Dick and Jane, Heather and Meghan....I enjoyed every minute and felt one of the family. Remembering Dick that morning talking about how he wishes the food could be hotter....and then Greenpoint commentary began. Dick’s legacy is leaving behind a beautiful family that knows and appreciates what family means. The importance of loving each other. Watching Mark and Jeanine loving on their parents.....having no regrets and being terrific role models to Heather and Meghan. Hoping The Barry family are all gathered to celebrate a life well lived. so sorry for your loss. Mr. Barry lived across the hall from my mom at Greenpoint. It was always a joy to catch him in the hallway and have small talk, a good laugh. What a legacy he had. I knew from his smile and demeanor he was a great man.

Dear Barry Family,
I want you to know that you were my second family growing up in Sherwood Farms and my heart is heavy with the loss of your dad. Your father's evening whistle will always be a homecoming call for me. You could hear it for miles. I still wish I could whistle like that.
I'll cherish the hours we spent on the ice rink he made in your back yard, talking to Jean under her bedroom window because she was grounded, and the open doors between our two houses - basically so you could use our bathroom because the housekeeper wouldn't let you in. LOL! And when I visited the old neighborhood, I was thrilled to see that the skinny trees your dad planted decades ago are now fully mature and beautiful.
I may be a thousand miles away, but I am still with you all in spirit during this very difficult time.
