My memory of Barbara, I woke up to a snowy Syracuse Sunday morning and I was to teach Sunday School I knew that I could get down the hill to church, this was the hill that Barb and Stewart lived on for many years a very steep hill. We got out of church and found our car surrounded by snow. The kind person that Stewart was offered to give us a ride home, my little girls were not so keen on getting in a car with this strange man, so we made it home. I invited him and his family to join us for Sunday dinner. Stewart went home packed up his family and some goodies on a sled and everyone came over. This was the beginning of a long and lovely relationship. Barbara was my best friend for many many years. I will miss her dearly.

The Stewart and Barbara Morse family and the George and Barbara Mader family had many camping trips together during the 1960s. Arcadia Natl Park, Golden Beach in the Adiorandacks, and the St Lawrence River (remember Sandy? and floating lighted candles on paper plates on the river?) .Barbara Morse was a wonderful mother, a loyal frienc and a good Christian woman. I miss her very much. George Mader in New Mexico.

So sorry to hear of Barb’s passing and that Stewart had passed. I rented Barbs childhood house on Onondaga Rd for a few years. They both took very good care of my Daughter and I while we were there, treated us like Family. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

To my dearest friends, the Morse’s. It has been many years since we have seen each other but we have not forgotten the many wonderful times we shared. Your mother was so very special to me. She was truly my second mom. And what a wonderful mom to have. As the tag along sister I was not always welcome in the games you were playing and when your mom saw this she didn’t make it wrong, she’d simply say “oh you don’t want to play with those ok girls anyway’ and then she’s make something up for me to do with her. Truly a wise and compassionate woman. I had hoped to have brought my family to Syracuse to meet my second mom but life seems to have gotten in the way. I am thinking of her and praying for all who miss her.
