My dad helped many people I loved reading all the posts about him helping so many. I miss him everyday and it hurts to know we will not have our Tuesday visits and sit and talk about life but I know he is alive in our hearts if ever an angel he has definitely earned his wings. Thank you everyone we all will forever miss my dad, my father, my buddy.

I have had the privilege to become part of the Mack family since 1984. I consider Ryan, Casey, Jamie and Erin like the siblings I never had, and as an "adopted" son to Gene and Kathleen. I will always cherish my time with you all, and my prayers are with each of you. My fondest memories of Gene are the great conversations and the best life advice given to me by him on many occasions. And tips on how to finally beat Ryan at Chess (I still haven't...). Until we meet again "Dad". I Love you Gene. Godspeed and fly high my friend.

For the Mack Family, Gene was a friend of mine for twenty years. He provided me with guidance, advice , understanding and insight into a Syracuse. During lunches at Brooklyn Pickle his stories caused you to choke on your food. Gene was a wonderful friend, confidant, and advisor. I will miss our talks, going out for a bite to eat, or just for a ride. He had suffered in recent years with his medical issues, but never complained.Gene was always there when I needed help, amazingly selfless. The highest aspiration he had was that of servant to others, and he accomplished that for so many, I offer my sympathy to his family,and hope they find solace in knowing he is in a good place. He will be missed by many..

Gene helped save my life and get me back on the right path. I don't have enough good words to say about Gene and I'm thankful I was able to see him and spend time with him last year when I was home. I'm going to miss Gene terribly bad as he helped me come out of hell and back to the living. Thank you Gene for all the help you gave me Godspeed my friend.

Jamie, Ryan, Casey, Erin and Kathy. You welcomed our family to yours decades ago and the memories linger still. Gov stopping by with the Sunday paper for a cup, or 2, of coffee to regale us with stories on end. Sunday dinner at your house. I could go on forever. Rest easy my friend. You were loved by millions.

Gov, Vince and I were classmates together and I considered them my best friends. It is fortunate if a person has several people that they can call true friends and Gov was all of that. I will miss him terribly. If there is a word that is beyond sad I am there. I will remember him always and look forward to seeing him again in Heaven. Rest in peace Gov.
