We Cain kids are devastated…she took care of us until the end.
Thinking of you every day.
Losing Paul - aka Francy - taught me a new kind of sorrow.
But Paul's dying made a certain kind of sense. He treated life like a battle - a wonderful battle in many ways - especially for his kids - but a battle nonetheless.
Eventually you lose the battle.
Martha is different.
She is nothing but kindness.
I picture her arriving at mom's apartment to bring lilacs to mom.
And bringing such love with her.
And that kind of love and kindness shouldn't end.
And of course it goes on.
But I want her to always be arriving with the lilacs.
So sorry.
Sending all my love to you.
Please give my love to Ann, Pat, Bobby and Mary.
Take care of yourself.
Remembering Martha with great love -

To The Klamm Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I worked for many years with Martha at Liverpool Transportation Center. She was a sweet lady and loved her family so much. I will always cherish the times we went to the St. Lucy's Easter Sunrise Service at Burnet Park and then went for breakfast at Denny's after that. It was a special time! I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers in the dark days ahead.

Poem adapted by Louisa May Alcott (sisters agreed to pay tribute to each other)
Think how we have together
Journeyed onward day by day.
Joys and sorrows ever sharing
While the swift years roll away
Then may all the sunny hours
Of our youth rise up to thee
And when your heart is light and happy
Martha, dear then think of us.
Love you forever. your sisters
