Obituary of Mark Kearney
On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, Mark Francis Kearney, loving son, brother and friend passed away at age 67. Mark was born in Syracuse, and lived in the area his entire life. After graduation from Solvay High School, Mark worked as a carpenter’s apprentice. While on the job, he suffered a tragic accident that changed his life forever.
With perseverance, family support and a great sense of humor, Mark led a productive and personally fulfilling life. He enjoyed woodworking; he was a recognized amateur artist and sang with the David Clark Learning Center Band.
Mark was predeceased by his father, James Sr., and his brother, James Jr. He is survived by his mother, Marjorie of Westvale, his sisters, Chris (Gerry) Maslona of Liverpool, and Peggy (Jim) D’Agostino of Westvale, his brothers, Jack (Nancy) of Fayetteville, Matt (Kathi) of Syracuse, and Tim (Lezlie) of Glen Carbon, IL, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Caregivers Home Care Agency and his many friends and staff at the David Clark Learning Center.
Funeral service will be held on May 27, at 11am at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 417 S Orchard Rd, Syracuse, NY 13219. Calling hours, prior at church from 10 - 11am. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Cemetery, North Main St., Central Square, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mark’s memory may be made to the David Clark Learning Center; 6666 Manlius Center Rd, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
