Dear Bob,
You were a true gentleman. When I met you I was responding to you add for a tenant in a two bdrm apt. you were renting.
I came to see the apt with my then boyfriend Judge James. You were so sweet and kind , renting to me on the spot in 2016. You just didnt see that much anymore which really struck me as you handed me the keys not really knowing me at all. I was drawn to your kind manner and found myself coming over and sitting with you, since you lived in the house next door. We would talk about my life and you would tell me all about your life. I loved hearing the stories of your military service and your stories about your wife. You would give me advice especially when the judge and I broke up.. I was so hurt and you just kept telling me "awwww he'll come back once he realizes what hes done". He didnt ever come back, but you told me not to worry about it, that someone new would come along...You were always so positive, not in an overt kind of way, but in a "watcha gonna do", "ya gotta keep moving" kind of way. The way you spoke of your wife, I could tell you loved her deeply. You told me all about how you guys use to live in the house I am in and how you raised your kids here. I felt honored to be in that same space. I got here in time to know your son who lived upstairs from me before his cancer took him. We didnt talk much but we shared a love for the Miami Dolphins and we shared a comradery on game days. We would both yell at the TV during amazing plays when our Dolphins had a game on..back n forth we would yell from different floors and it was fun.
I felt honored to have met you and I enjoyed bringing you dinners here and there and an occasional cupcake I had made. I really enjoyed our time together, our conversations I will cherish. You again, was a true gentleman, something that is lacking in our civilization now a days as we would discuss frequently. When I heard that you had passed I knew that you had reunited with your wife and that made me smile ....I will always carry you fondly in my heart my friend...
With Love and admiration
Your tenant and friend
