To Teds family, I’m very sorry I totally missed seeing Teds notice. I think about calling and then never do.
Well, Ted joins the growing list of friends from the CNY IACI who have passed for various reasons during this pandemic… Helen, Marion, his very good friend Anne, and now Ted.
We missed all of you during the Parade today! (That’s where I learned of his passing.) Many laughs and many stories from meetings, events and phone calls.
Ted graciously invited Steve Morse to stay at his home when I arranged for Steve to come to Syracuse and speak about his One Step Webpage which makes researching so much easier!
It was during this visit that Ted told me the most memorable story! At some point , years previous, the CNY-IACI brought an Irish speaker to Syracuse, I believe the National IACI would have someone from Ireland each year that would go throughout the various Chapters in the USA.
Well, Myrtle Hill came to Syracuse from Ireland. And as they usually did, they entertained her with a Tour of Tipp Hill.
They took Ms Myrtle Hill to one special spot that the other Irish Guests never went to… Myrtle Hill Cemetery!!!
Ted said they had a ball and took a picture of her with the Sign to the Cemetery! I bet she had stories to being back to Ireland!
This pandemic kept us apart from one another, and I have missed many funerals and notices of friends and acquaintances. Ted was a friend and I’m very sorry. My deepest condolences to all of you!

We were very sorry to hear about Ted's passing.
Since his funeral when he was described as being so about forming connections, I've been thinking of a time I was talking to Ted and he mentioned knowing 3 people on our street I had never met. I almost have the impression he could have done the same with any street in Central New York - like if CNY were a big jigsaw puzzle he would have known how it all fit together - really amazing! He will be missed.

We at SAGE are so sad to hear of Ted's passing. He had a great smile. When I think of him, I see that broad grin of his . Ted was was funny and smart and was a very caring person. I just learned of his passing, so unfortunately I will miss the calling hours today. We will recognize him at an event held by SAGE later this year -- it would be great to reach David to speak about that. We will miss Ted. --Kim Dill kdill@sageupstate.org

To Ted's Family:
My condolences on Ted's passing. I first met him at St. Jerome's College in Canada and then several years later came across him when I attended LeMoyne College. He exposed his humor and wit on many occasions but then that was his nature. What a delightful legacy to leave your family. I last spoke with him at Fr. John Fenlon's funeral.
Rest in Eternal Peace, Ted. Welcome! to your new HOME.
Sincerely,
Jim Dooher

Ted was one of the most generous persons I have ever met. His loving, kind and warm manner affected everyone he came in contact with. When I left Syracuse, Ted treated me to a sumptuous dinner. That was the last time I saw him. I will always owe him a great debt of gratitude for lifting my spirits. Never forgotten.
