Obituary of Michael Keser
Michael “Mike” C. Keser, 83, of Syracuse, NY passed away on February 27, 2022 after a brief illness. Born in Scranton, PA, Mike was a 1956 graduate of Most Holy Rosary School. He went on to have a 40 year career with Local #267 as an accomplished Journeyman in the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry. Mike would always do anything for anybody, always stopping after work or on a day off to help a friend fix whatever plumbing problem needed; sink, toilet, or hot water heater. He was married to Donna M. Roche for 53 years, and was with Mary Jane Farrelly for the last eight years.
Mike loved sports cars, rallies at Watkins Glen, golf and sports. His passion could be heard from down the street while watching the Giants, SU basketball or football and the Yankees. He was showing his passion for Duke vs SU right down to his last breath. He was a great dad and husband and dedicated his life to both. He in his younger days, he always coached his son’s sports and enjoyed driving his Alfa Romeo. Mike enjoyed his 26 years of retirement by spending time with his wife, traveling to Mexico and Arizona.
In his twilight years he enjoyed the company of MJ any chance he could; he always would come home happy and have a smile on his face after he was with MJ.
Mike was predeceased by his wife, Donna, son, Michael, brother Peter, sister, Suzanne, brother, Anthony and parents, Marion (Clark) and Paul.
He is survived by his son, Timothy, daughter, Amy (Mathew) Sims, both of Syracuse, daughter, Karen of CA, brother, Christopher, sister Marianne of Syracuse, NY, brother, Paul of Atlanta, GA and close friend and companion, Mary Jane Farrelly, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed and forever remebered in the hearts of those he touched.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 5pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private at a later date.
