Obituary of Edward Brosnan Rapson

Edward Brosnan Rapson, Jr., 78, of Baldwinsville passed away peacefully on November 21, 2022.  He was born in Buffalo, NY to his late parents Dr. Edward and Constance (Slocombe) Rapson on November 5, 1944.  Ed was a graduate of St. Gregory’s College in Shawnee, OK and Oklahoma University in Norman, OK.  He worked as a computer operator at Niagara Mohawk for 35 years.  He enjoyed attending Indy car races, driving his Corvette, traveling and spending winters in Florida. 

Ed is survived by his wife of 25 years, Leslie (Empsall) Rapson; brothers, Michael and James Rapson; sister, Anne (Rapson) Sheridan; nieces, Maureen (Sheridan) Henesey, Kathleen (Sheridan) White, Elisabeth (Sheridan) Schoeneck, Caroline (Rapson) Stephens, and  Katheryn Rapson; nephews, Michael Sheridan, EJ Rapson, Patrick Rapson, and Chase Empsall; and eight great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 9:30am at Most Holy Rosary Church, 11 Roberts Ave, Syracuse, NY 13207.  Calling hour will be immediately prior at church from 8:30 to 9:30am.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson’s, 722 Apex Road, Suite A, Sarasota F. 34240.
