I was shocked to recently hear of John's passing. I have fond memories of John at his family gatherings many years ago. John was a genuinely nice person and a pleasure to be with. I will miss running into him while doing errands. My most sincere sympathies to his family..

George, I'm so sorry for your loss so soon after losing Chris. I have so many fond memories from when we were kids and cousins together. When you showed the dracula movie at your parents house. (I was so scared) Any time our parents got together esp John, Mary(Kouides) and I would play together since we were the same age. We spent most of the time laughing and laughing. We just really had fun together. John always told us jokes, and even just in conversation he could make anything funny. He also had a big ❤️ He was loved for sure and we all feel the loss of him.

Our family extends our condolences to John's family. He was a bright light with unlimited energy and wisdom in Syracuse's political system. I still remember the first time he walked into the 17th Ward committe meetings. He will be missed. From the family of Deborah Holler and Paul Woeger.

To George, Dean, Dodie and John’s many friends…
John loved our community dearly and served as a wealth of information for many elected officials and constituents. I am glad that I had the privilege of working for John in local government. Thank you for your guidance and friendship John. Rest easy.
