Judy and I birded together a number of times when I got into birding. We saw each other a number of times around Baldwinsville and would let each other know of good sightings in the area. I will miss her.

I was very surprised to learn of Judy’s death recently. I tried to give her a “happy Spring” call only to find line out of service. Judy and I were both often at Derby Hill and she helped with a Breeding Bird Atlas project and was a Bird-a-thon supporter and participant! She and Paige were always a welcome sight at Derby Hill. I’ll miss her. You have my condolences.

When I worked as the hawkcounter at Derby Hill, it was always a joy to see Judy and her dog, Paige visiting. I will miss her cheery laugh, kind heart, and her love of nature and animals.

Judy and I met over 50 years ago, and enjoyed many good times together. Our mutual interest was in dogs, Cocker Spaniels to be specific, and we enjoyed traveling and showing together, as well as working with our local club to put on specialty dog shows. She was a fun person to be with, had a quick wit, as well as a definite opinion, especially when it came to dogs. She was a person you might not see for a while, but run into her and you could start right up where you left off; easy-going, kind and considerate. I will miss her.
