Obituary of Patricia O. Dwyer

Patricia (O’Brien) Dwyer passed away on January 30, 2023. She was born on March 22, 1930 and was raised in Syracuse. Patricia graduated from St. John the Baptist High School and attended business school. On October 4, 1958 she married Philip Dwyer and together they raised three children. Pat worked for many years but especially enjoyed her time working for the ARMY comptroller ship program at Syracuse University. After retiring she tirelessly took care of her husband and grandchildren. Pat was selfless and never asked anything of anyone, she always put others first. She loved live music (especially at Colemans) where she would sing along. Pat also enjoyed attending Syracuse university football and basketball games.

She was predeceased by her husband Philip, grandchildren, Mary Patricia, Elizabeth Maureen Evans and Brian P. Davis.  She is survived by her children, Dennis Dwyer (Qui Qui), Mimi (Randy) Evans and Sheila (Rob) McConnell, siblings, John (Jack) O’Brien and Anne Kneeskern, grandchildren, Kathryn Davis, Ian and Spencer  McConnell, Katy and John  Evans, great grandson Conor Clare along  with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday February 4, 2023 at 10am at St. Patrick’s Church, Tippereary Hill. A Calling hour will be held from 9-10am at church prior to the mass. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt.

The family would like to thank all her great neighbors and friends that took care of her.  Pat was easy to love, rest easy mom you did a great job.
