Obituary of Joanne Kelley-Davis
Joanne Kelley-Davis went home to be with the Lord on July 2, 2023. She was born on January 26, 1955. She was predeceased by her parents, Shirley Butera and Thomas Kelley, grandson, Michael Hathorn II, her sister and best friend, Deborah, her brother, Thomas, and two sisters, Chris and Josephine.
Joanne is leaving behind her loving husband, Lee (Dune) Davis, her children, Leann Walsh, Phillip (Keira) Davis, Tracy (Richard Shoff) DeCook, Matthew (Corrie) Davis, Kelley (Bruce) Davis-Ellsworth, Keri (Chris) Davis, three bonus children, Nilo and Lazara Bachiller, and Paul Decook, a very special grandson, Christopher Davis, 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a sister, Antoinnette, four brothers, David Kelley of California, Frank Kelley of West Monroe, and Philip and Michael Butera, a lifelong friend, Reverend James Matthews, all of her a.k.a. "neighborhood grandkids" and many nieces and nephews.
Joanne worked at St. Lucy's Church for over 35 years and was a communicant there for her entire life. She devoted her life to helping others; human and animals alike. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Joanne had the biggest heart and would give you the clothes off her back.
Literally she was truly one of a kind and will be missed dearly.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 7 at 10am at St. Lucy's Church, 432 Gifford St. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 3 to 6pm at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Burial will be in Assumption Church.
