Even though me and Jerry were far apart in age we connected over music. I worked side by side with him for several years and I'd spend so many moments with him talking concerts and favorite bands. I started burning him cd's and eventually we took a trip to some of my favorite record stores in Ithaca. It was great times and he was always such a generous person. That day will forever live on among my memories. I'm pretty upset with myself that I didn't hear about his passing until now. My fault mostly. Life got in the way and I failed to keep up contact. I'll really miss you Jerry. Rest in peace sir.

I have just found out that Jerry passed away. He was such a kind soul who touched so many peoples hearts. I worked with him for many years at RRMS. I will always remember him talking to his mom on the phone everyday on his lunching checking in on her. RIP my friend. You will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Jerry for several years at RRMS. He was the kindest person, and always smiling and trying to cheer people up.
After the devastating loss of my son and my husband, I had brought a box of ties to work with a sign that said, please take one and wear this in memory of my beloved Chris and devoted husband, Terry
Jerry took a couple of the ties, he came up to me one night after his mom passed just before her funeral service. He wanted to tell me that he had set out his clothes for his mom’s funeral, and he chose one of the ties that he took from them. He told me I wanted them to be a part of the day I said goodbye to my mom. I will honor them both on that special sad day!
I was so honored that he would think of my beloved family when he was saying his final goodbye to his beloved mom
Rest in paradise Jerry say hi to Chris and Terry and your mom for me. I am sure your paths will cross with theirs. I will always keep your memory in my heart.
Sincerely
Di

A sad day to learn of Murphs passing. If you were blessed to know iMurph in your circle of life you would be greeted with a smile and a warm funny greeting. He always seemed to have something good to say about people. Doing Benrfit Fundraisers for many families with a loved one with a life threatening disease we had Murph on speed dial as with his generosity of heart he unselfishly helped us get door prizes to raffle off to raise money for the family in need.
He was a true character in the best sense of the word. If you met him in life you were a very lucky person.
He quietly looked out for his Mom and had the admiration of all the friends who knew him well.
They say that the Irish keep compzany with the angels. No doubt Murph is regaling St Peter with topical jokes & quips.
Rest in Peace Murph,
Billy & Lisa Gooley

My sweet cousin and I always would sit together in the background together as kids. That's where he and I were most comfortable and we had a good time. I'll miss you Murph. I know your pain is over now and that is good.

Murph,
You were a kind and gentle man. I will cherish the memories of the fun times from Our Lady of Lourdes to Most Holy Rosary, Valley Babe Ruth and Onondaga County 911 Dispatch. And, you had the best suggestion for our MHR Class of 1975 Prom Theme: The Last Hurrah! God Bless and Rest in Peace, my Friend.

We were so sad to hear that Murph has passed. He was such a funny and kind man. Many years ago, he and some other friends came to Texas and floated the Guadalupe and dove off the cliffs...only to lose his shorts in the jump. I'm sure there are a million funny stories!! Thanks for the laughs Murph. Heaven has gained another angel. Condolences to all who love him.

Murph you were special and will be missed by many. Great memories of our baseball days with you as my catcher. Still laugh remembering your stare waking to the mound after another wild pitch - your face covered in dust! Also will never forget our bus trip to Pittsburgh at age 16. You were a great friend and even better person. Our prayers are with you and God bless you Murph.
