Obituary of Patricia Ann Diamond

Patricia Ann Diamond, 83, of Syracuse passed away on April 10, 2024.  Patty graduated from Central High School in 1959. Mom worked at US Airways for 30 years. During this time and for many years following retirement she loved to travel the world visiting, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Ireland,  Italy, Canada, and at least 60 trips to her beloved Disney Land and Disney World.  Mom also loved to go to the movies and always followed it with a good dinner of Surf and Turf.  Most of all my mom loved her entire family, never missing a wedding, baby shower or any family gathering.  She shared her heart and home with several kids on Gifford Street; she will surely be missed by so many.

My Mom loved her faith and served God her whole life. She was dedicated to the Call to Action who inspires Catholics to act for justice and build inclusion for all.

She will be welcomed in paradise where there is pink and yellow flowers and her dog, Biscuit; she will be together with her mother and father, her brothers, Eddie and Bob and the rest of the “Diamond Girls,” Shirley, Mary and Kathleen.   

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her son, Sean Sr. (Jennifer), grandson, Sean Jr. (Taylor), granddaughters, Alicia (Shane), Hannah, and Arianna, five great grandchildren, Aliece, Sean P, Katlyn, Sean III, and Quin, one great, great grandson, Matthew, and her friend, Sharon Barber.                                                                                   

 Her love and commitment to all of her nieces and nephews will never be forgotten.  

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 10am at St. Lucy's Church, 432 Gifford St.  Calling hours will be held from 9-10am prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
