I was so lucky to be a part of Clary while Tom was principal. He was a great leader, and he knew how to have a good time doing it. Clary was a very happy place while Tom reigned. He knew the students and he cared for them. The world was a better place with Tom in it.

I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He was the principal at Clary Junior High while several of my children were there and I was a volunteer on the PTO board. He always had the students' best interests at heart, was always willing to listen to parents and students. I was sad when he retired but happy for him. It was well deserved. Tom was a good man; he will be missed.

Tom was one of the kindest, sweetest men I’ve had the privilege to know. He was a wonderful husband to my dear friend, Chris, and a loving dad to his 3 beautiful girls. But he didn’t stop there, Tom was also kind and caring to his mother-in-law as she aged and needed assistance. And when it came to being a grandpa…he set the gold star standard. He was a grandpa that gave and gave of himself to his grandchildren. I’m certain they will have so many fond memories of him.
I loved Tom’s sense of humor. I don’t think I ever had an interaction with him that didn’t result in at least one chuckle or full throated laugh. I’ll miss those interactions.
I am sending my love and sympathy to the entire family. I’m so sorry for the pain your heart is going through.

Tom was a colleague in the SCSD. He approached his work as an administrator with a calm sense of competence, a fine man who was good at his job.
I am so sorry to learn of his passing. I am away from Syracuse and cannot offer my condolences in person.
Rest in Peace, Tom.

My sincere condolences to the Kenah family. Tom hired me when I first started with the SCSD at Corcoran High School. He was a kind and very understanding man; and an outstanding administrator who cared about his staff and students.
May Tom Rest In Peace.

Chris, Shannon, Erin, Megan,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Tom (your dad). I first met Tom while he was our advisor on the Superintendent’s Issues and Analysis Team. He guided and mentored a group of brand new and upcoming administrations and taught us all the values that we needed to move forward in our careers. When I first became a new principal, Tom reached out to me and guided me through those the trials and tribulations that any new administrator goes through. He was always a phone call away with that fatherly advice and dry sense of humor. He was an outstanding administrator and one I looked up to and valued his mentorship and friendship. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. May he Rest In Peace.
