Steve was a great person I met him at Catholic Charities. I worked for an affiliate of Catholic Charities and interacted with Steve almost every day. He was always happy and had a smile on his face, I really missed him when he left, I looked forward to seeing him at work every day. He will be missed by a lot of friends, and he will be remembered as a great friend by me

Dear Diana, Kevin, and Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I will always cherish the memories of Uncle Steve up at the camp cheering on the Eagles and Flyers whenever we visited as kids. He had a great sense of humor and genuine love for his fellow man. It was nice to be able to see him and Diana more in recent years when they came to Florida to visit. Steve was amazingly generous, humble, principled, and always willing to help anyone with anything. And he could fix just about anything! You could talk to him as if no time had passed, and he LOVED telling stories and photos of his family and grandkids!! He leaves a great legacy in those he left behind - he will be greatly missed.
Love

Dear Diana,
We are deeply sorry for your loss. Steve was a kind, thoughtful, and gentle person who always gave his time to others. He was truly an amazing man, highly respected and well-liked by everyone. Frank will always cherish the moments spent with him at Lorton Lake, whether it was working with him on the water system or enjoying time together at one of the many activities at the pole barn. Steve inspired the best in people and exemplified how we should treat one another. We, along with the entire Lorton Lake community, will truly miss him.
May peace fill your heart,
Frank & Lori Lazipone

Joe and I met Steve and Diana when we bought a cottage at Lorton Lake. He was very active in the lake community in a variety of capacities including the water committee, pancake breakfast, and social committee to name a few. His pride and joy was arranging for “Sam” to come and provide music for our annual wine party. He and Diana enjoyed hearing Sam Domicolo at various locations and wanted to share their experience with us. The parties were always a hit and everyone looked forward to wine and Sam.
Steve was a great guy with so many talents he shared with family and friends. The lake will never be the same without him.
But the best thing about Steve was the obvious love and devotion he felt for Diana. She is a lucky woman to have had him in her life and our hearts reach out to her with profound sadness and condolences as she faces his loss. Sending love and God’s peace to Diana and Steve’s family. Dear Diana, Kevin, and all of Steve's family,
We are so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. He was truly one of the good guys. There are so many good memories of Steve when he would visit us in St. Marys.
From building cabins to ball games to riding bikes, with a few unfortunate trips to the emergency room spliced in between, it was mostly a fun time. Those were visits we waited for every summer.
In more recent years, it was great to see Steve, Diana, and other Syracuse family at the July family reunions. Steve was one of those people you could immediately catch up with, like you had just seen him yesterday. His laugh and all those conversations will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.
