Obituary of Madeline Lillian Olah

Madeline Lillian Olah, 93, of Syracuse, NY passed away Friday January 6, 2017. She was born in Watertown on September 7, 1923. She lived most of her life in Syracuse spending winters in Florida and Summers in Piller Point. Madeline worked at various restaurants throughout her life. She is predeceased by her First Husband Robert Bell; late husband John J. Olah, parents Paul & Amelia Billings; brothers Paul & Charles, and a sister Arlene. Madeline is survived by her daughter Carolyn (Jerry) O'Connell, granddaughters; Christine (Randy) O'Connell-More & Terry (Larry) O'Connell-Raymond, grandsons; Patrick (Linda) O'Connell & Timothy (Elisa) O'Connell, a sister-in-law Genevieve Billings of Georgia, 17 Great & Great-Great Grandchildren, half-brothers; Robert & Alfred Billings, a stepdaughter Carol Proudy of Adam's Center, NY, a stepson Richard Olah of Belleville, NY and several nieces and nephews. A service will be held Monday January 9, 2017 at 11am at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10am-11am prior to the service. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
