Michael A. Dobraski, 75, passed away peacefully Wednesday September 21, 2016 surrounded by his family.
Mike was a life resident of Syracuse and retired from Church and Dwight. He was a former communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. He was a kind, loving, generous soul with a commendable work ethic. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with his children or grandchildren. No event was too small or insignificant for him to pass up. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, going to camp, cooking, gardening and he was a true Yankees fan to the end. He spent 6 years in the Navy from 1961-1967 where he received an Honorable Mention for bravery in a naval rescue of two ships while serving his country aboard the USS Gearing.
He was predeceased by his Parents, Michael Dobraski Sr. and Anna Lichvar, and a brother, John Dobraski.
Mike is survived by his daughters, Michelle, Melissa and Kimberly, a sister, Sue Holden, a sister-in-law, Kathy Johnston Dobraski, 3 grandchildren, Brandon Dobraski, Jasmine Clarke and Pela Marie Hammock, 1 great grandchild, Michael Raymond Reese.
Services will be held on Saturday September 24th at 10:00am at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave., Syracuse, NY 13219. The family will receive friends and relatives from 9-10am Saturday prior to the service. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery, Baldwinsville.
