Brian D Walsh, 70, of Onondaga Hill, NY, passed away peacefully Thursday in comfort of home, surrounded by family and friends. A life resident of Syracuse, he graduated from Central Tech High School. Mr. Walsh retired from National Grid in 2003, having also served as a union representative for IBEW Local 97. He was a longtime member of the Pastimes Club and Tanner Valley Golf Course. He also enjoyed bowling, NASCAR, watching Syracuse sports and being the grill master. A couple of his memorable achievements included bowling a 300 game and coaching his daughters' sports teams.
Brian is predeceased by his Mother, Virginia and Father, Edward Sr. and brothers Michael (Nadine) and Edward Jr (Sandy). He is survived by his wife and companion of 14 years, Annie Dunham, beloved daughters, Caroline and Jennifer (Steve), brothers Kevin and Paul (Kathy), step-sons Philip (Zoriana) and Michael (Amie), Nephews Matthew and Danny, grandchildren Hamzah, Noah, Adam, Caitlin, Hannah, Eryn, Ryan, step-grandchildren Sonya, Lyla, Alex, Matthew, Ava and Michael.
Services: 10am Wednesday at Edward J. Ryan Funeral Home. Burial, St. Agnes Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling hours 4 to 7pm Tuesday at the funeral home, 3180 Bellevue Ave, Syracuse, NY.
