I knew Doug when he and I were little kids and kept up with him and his family through my relatives, the Howe family. I was especially proud to know someone who served his country so well. He was a fine man.

Axe family, I don't really know you but I want you all to know my thoughts and prayers are with you. I "know" Brent from the radio call in shows. Doug sounds like a great husband, Dad, and Grandfather! Veteran!! Brent, like my Dad, we got our love of sports!! Similar to my SU alma mater, we are Syracusans and family!! I'm sorry for your loss.
