Obituary of James E. Roach

James E. Roach, 49, passed away on September 29, 2016. Jim was born in Syracuse to Paul and Eleanor Roach. He graduated from Westhill High School and attended Onondaga Community College and SUNY Morrisville. He had been a member of the Taunton Volunteer Fire Department. He worked for the City of Syracuse for many years and most recently for Reserve Supply. Jim loved the outdoors, especially the Adirondacks. He was predeceased by his mother, Eleanor, in 2010 and his brother, Paul, in 1969. He is survived by his father, Paul, of Syracuse, his sister, Mary Beth, of Syracuse; his sister and brother-in-law, Sue (Mark) Macko, three nephews, Dan, Patrick and Connor; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October4, 2016 at 10 am at St. Ann's Church; 4471 Onondaga Blvd. The family will receive friends and family from 9 to 10am prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of one's choice.
