Obituary of Julie K. Bender

Julie K. Bender, 72, of Syracuse passed away September 15, 2016. She attended Most Holy Rosary School and graduated in 1961. She attended Albany School of Nursing and completed her nursing degree at Empire College of NY. Julie worked in many Syracuse nursing facilities as a registered nurse in the homecare field until the age of 71. She is predeceased by her parents Gary & Eve, and one brother, Joseph M. Bender. She is survived by 5 sisters, Alida, Laurie Hollenbeck, Becky, Chrysta (Robert) Mills, Ruth (Peter) DiGenaro; 5 brothers, Gary (Janis), Anthony (Denise), Leonard (Kathy), Paul, Andrew (Diane) and several nieces and nephews, and grand nephews. She is also survived by her beloved yorkshire terriers. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 19th at 10am at St. Michael - St. Peter Church, 4782 West Seneca Turnpike. The family will receive friends and relatives from 9am-10am at church prior to the service.
