Obituary of Ida (Calderaro) Corso

Ida (Calderaro) Corso, 92, left this earth to join her predeceased, loving husband, Phillip on December 26, 2014. She was a resident at Loretto Nursing Home but passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness. Ida was a devote member of St. Ann's parish. She retired from Gaylord Brothers where she was employed for many years. Ida loved her family, bingo, bowling, dancing, and life itself. She is survived by 3 loving children, son, Philip, and daughters, Lorraine, and Kathleen (Dennis) all of Syracuse. Ida had 2 grandchildren, Lisa Grosso of San Diego, and Christopher Grosso (Michelle) of Pensacola, Fl. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, Leah, Jacob and Hannah Grosso, as well as several nieces and nephews. Ida was a loving mother and wife. She was a friend to many and her smile, kindness and generosity will be remember by all and greatly missed. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at St. Ann's Church, Onondaga Blvd. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
