Obituary of Claude John Incaudo

Claude John Incaudo passed away at home, in Marietta, NY, on November 2, 2016. Claude was born in Detroit Michigan, August 5, 1933. Moved to Burbank California in 1948. A 1952 graduate of Bellermine Jefferson High School. Served in the US Army, as a petroleum pipeline engineer, Shift Sergeant in Charge. First job at age14, sweeping grocery store floors, worked his way up to Director of Store Operations, for Thirftimart Food Company. In 1977 started with P&C Food Markets of Syracuse, NY and was made President, in 1982. In addition, 1990 became CEO of The Penn Traffic Company. Retiring in 1995. Claude also known for his love of the P&C Percheron Draft Horse Team and his community service, including Chairman and Director of the Health Science Center Foundation, first Chairman of the CNY Children's Miracle Network, helped establish the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Upstate, raised thousands of dollars for Juvenile Diabetes, Camp Good Days, Make a Wish, Ronald McDonald House, 2.5 million for "Apples for Students" computers. Served on the CNY Kidney Foundation, VP of Metropolitan Development Association, Syracuse Stage, Chairman of Boys Club, Marine Midland Bank, Horsemen of Vernon Downs. Many honors, only the second to receive, the Citizen Award, Health Science Center, the Humanitarian Achievement Award for the CNY Kidney Foundation and the Joseph Pietrafesa Italian of the Year Award among others. Enjoyed spending time with his family most of all and golfing, fishing, harness racing, cooking and playing cards. Claude was pre-deceased by his parents, Joseph and Virginia (Caruso) Incaudo: brothers, Peter, Joseph and Anthony Incaudo, sisters, Carmela Giammanco and Angelina Salamone. Claude is survived by his wife, of 55 years Donna Drew: three children, AnnMarie (Paul Clark), of Marcellus, NY, Daniel Incaudo(Lisa) of Naperville, IL, and Charles Incaudo of Voorhees, NJ.: and seven grandchildren, Andrew, Daniel, Alexandra, Alexandra, Zachary Incaudo and Michael and Ana Clark. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Joseph's Church, Camillus, NY. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1 to 4pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Skaneateles, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Claude's Memory to Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital, c/o Upstate Foundation, 750 East Adams Street, Syracuse, NY 13210.
