It is with great heaviness of heart that the family of Peter Jerome Conroy acknowledges his passage from this life on 11/1/2018.

“Pete,” as he was known by his loved ones, was a 2007 graduate of West Genesee High School, where he learned to love music as a trumpet player in the marching band. He was also a communicant of Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church of Syracuse. Pete earned his associate’s degree from Onondaga Community College and was utilizing his education in the service of others for the past 2 years at Hanover Hill Nursing Home in Manchester, NH, where he was employed at the time of his departure from us.

In his free time Pete loved fishing and enjoying the great outdoors with friends and family. He was a huge Star Wars buff, and as a film aficionado his knowledge of movies and directors was vast and entertaining. Pete’s tenderness was evidenced by his soft spot for his cat, Ripley. Pete’s quick wit and kind heart will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Pete was pre-deceased by his maternal grandparents, William & Mary Obuhanych, as well as his paternal grandparents, John and Patricia Conroy, and his cousin, Patrick Hallinan.

Peter’s parents, Jerome and Anna Conroy, and his sister, Mary Conroy along with her partner, Josh Nelson, mourn his loss with deepest grief. Memories of Pete will be cherished in the hearts of his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday November 7, 2018 at 10 am at St. Patrick’s Church, 216 N. Lowell Ave

Syracuse, NY 13204. Calling hours will be held Tuesday November 6, 2018 from 4-7pm at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Skaneateles.

Charitable donations in memory of Pete may be offered to the Syracuse SPCA, 5878 E Molloy Rd, Syracuse, NY 13211 or to Saint Patrick’s Church, 216 N. Lowell Ave., Syracuse.
