My condolences to Mark’s family and those closest to him. Mark was my “cube-mate” at AT&T and he made going to work an absolute joy. We worked closely on several projects together and often shared ideas and offered guidance to one another. He was a fair man that stood up for himself and others, and I’m honored to have known him and learned from him. RIP my friend. I’m sorry we never had an appropriate good-bye. We’ll cross paths again someday.
Your friend, Joe G

Mark became fixated with worry about me after his death the last 2 years. So he planned every detail of his funeral, IT was torture for me to drive him to buy the suit he picked out. (2x btw because of weight loss). He gave me a list of pallbearers and the reasons why he picked them. He he gave me 2 alternates in case....He preferred color for casket, the funeral home and the cemetery. We were going to buy the plots this week. He was worried about me and he wanted to make it easier for me. All of this was hard to discuss and I would try to tell him that even though I will be broken hearted I will handle it. (Same as it always was)..
Mark I want to thank you now for insisting on it and you were right..... as always. I will forever be grateful for how you always had my back even in death..
Some things were not as you wished due to this crazy world......I know you were with me and I did the best I could. I will love you every day for the rest of my life.
Until we fly together again
I love you Kathi

To dad Jim and family. Know that the Wilcoxes are thinking of all the family at this time. We didn’t know Mark personally but whenever we met Dad (normally at a Wake or.Gin Mill), we were brought up to date with love, on a fellow Long Liner.

My deepest sympathy to Kathi and family.
Mark was truly a good man and a great friend to many of us. He will be sorely missed. Mark and I exchanged text messages recently over the loss of a mutual friend. Mark said that our friend was definitely in heaven. I am sure that Mark is now with him.

True Champions bring out the best in everyone around them, and Mark had this effect on people. The man was a Super Hero to me, and I have spent my life trying to be half the man he was. Mark's iron will, and dedication to his family was astounding. Everything he did was like a big bang, and many bodies would benefit as they coalesced around his endeavors. There have been many bright people in my life, but Mark had a certain way of doing things. He would overcome infinite challenges, and carry a few people with him. We were all lucky to have crossed his path. The things I have learned from him, and the opportunities he has provided. Are more infinite than the challenges he made look simple. I share my respect, for this man with anyone that has known him. I hold the time we spent together close my heart, and will never forget the relationship we had. I loved my Dad, we had plans, and I am going to miss him deeply.

Hello Kathi it’s Chris and Joe Spossey here.it was very sad to hear of Marks passing. We were fortunate though that we spent some time together at our reunion of last year. Since then Mark and I have kept in touch on a fairly regular basis. Only recently he called me laughing about a video I had sent him. It iwas very refreshing to rekindle our friendship and catch up on old times.
And our Toolon Tiger day’s certainly can’t be forgotten.Kathi I still have the Sambuca cup and saucer you “borrowed” and gave me as a gift from the restaurant the four of us were eating at celebrating my birthday.
The old times are gone and sadly now another old friend is also. Chris and I send our condolences to you and your family. And it goes without saying if there’s anything we can do please ask

After almost 5 years of constant battles with cancer. I was with with Mark when in his favorite chair with all of his favorite things around him, he fell asleep and joined his mother Lucy Hayes Henson Monday. He has been in Pallitive care for 8 months and recently started leaving notes for me here and there. I would like to share my favorite “I do not know what I would have done these last few years with out. You have always been there for me. I remember the 1st time I saw you. You smiled at me and I thought you were the most beautiful girl I ever saw. I was yours from that day on.” Love Mark (dated 2/17/2020)
Mark. You were the best husband, father, grandpa, & friend. If only love could have made you better you would have been cured. I was thinking of the day I met you. I thought you had the most beautiful blue eyes. You never seemed like a stranger as if our souls had known each other forever. Our love story was beautifully written and planned by angels in heaven. Rest In Peace, Your new job is to “Fly the plane” until our souls meet again.....Love Kathi Henson
